anyways... i think that everyone is free to say anything about islam, we should defend ourselves the same way that they do, we should have cartoons laughing about danish people or danish traditions, boycotting is stupid, because the real people who get hurt r us, because workers in trade r our people, logistics and others...

You know I just lIKE people who want to be good, but they redefine "good" according to western measures; just be peaceful and understanding, don't give the wrong impression about yourself.

Well if you don't like the idea of boycotting stuff, then why don't you come up with something more effective. I just LIKE people who always have a different opinion especially in cases where everybody agree on something. I think that it takes a lot more than that to be different.

And by the way for the person who said that boycotting is stupid and it hurts us I COULD'NT AGREE MORE it will really hurt me if I use a brand that does not treat its cows as lurpack does and IT DOES'NT bother me at all that they don't treat us well, the cows are all that matters.

I did not say that burning the embassies was good.
And since we have a lot of wise guys here why don’t you tell us how are we going to earn our respect, I am not saying that what is happening now is the best way, all I am saying is that if you think that you can do better why don’t you give it a shot.
It is funny how can a person easily criticize professional football players and coaches yet he had never laid a foot on a real football field before, that is exactly what you are doing.
Criticism is easy, action is not.

By first stop critisizing each other and look week infront of them. Here nothing to be done. We wanted an apology and we got it. There is no need to do more than the subject requires and start blaming a complete country for a sick indivisual(s) and make other families suffer. Since I live outside Jordan I do what I can to reflect our culture and religion to the others and not showing them hatred and anger because it will only make them confirm the sterotypes promoted everyday about Islam.

Kozo: Thank you for your comment, yes, criticism is easy, action is not. But I don’t think that the boycott is in our favor at all because it doesn’t address the real roots of the misunderstanding and false image that’s associated to Islam as a religion and Muslims as a global nation; on the contrary, it The point is that it only outlines the list of terms that we all try to detach from the image of Islam in the eyes of the west. Terrorism, blind stiff myths and backward thinking are still there when it comes to Islam in their eyes. I think it’d be better off to fight that back rather than a boycott or something similar. i.e. in a way they understand well.

Let’s do our homework first so we come out with solid ground that will prevent such clashes from happening again. I started with myself : )

kasho: you cant be more wrong, we did not get an apology, even an apology is not enough, and I blame the whole country because it supports what happened. I dont know where you live, but in europe many people hate muslims and everybody know that, it is not an individual action. Again where did you get that we had an apology from ???!!!!!!!!

fadi, The only misunderstanding happening here is the one you have. Believe me they know a lot about real islam that is why they do that. And what is wrong with boycotting, it is a peaceful civilized way of objecting to what happened.
I agree that we must show people how good true islam is, but remember not to set your criterion according to their measures, a muslim can tolerate to be offended as a person but must never tolerate any offence to islam.
Again you talked and criticized with no true ideas for improvement, I mean something you can start with in real life, something you can do, you used phrases like do our homework which means nothing to me because it does not include any real action.
What I'm saying is, if you dont have any better ideas, something that we can really do, something that you are doing now, something that was proven to be effective then dont just try to justify why you are not even participating in the action taking place now. If you dont want to be part of it just dont try to make your self look better than the people doing it.

Dear all being sorry demands an action, not just saying "I'm sorry", or else every sick minded person will do whatever he has on mind and just say "I'm sorry". Another thing is that if there is no serious and grave response to this action, the world will take it lightly and it will be recurrent. A third thing, is that especially in Europe everybody is responsible for the government actions because they have the "Freedom" of criticizing, questioning, and even changing their government - if they are willing-
So, for me, unless danish people take some action against their government, and the alleged "Free Press", I will continue bearing feelings of "hate" for the Denmark.
